Gestures Nov 05, 2008

Been reading some Stanchfield lately, especially the chapters about gestures, and hoping that at least something sinks in.

But today I had a completely different revelation ... concerning drawing using ... putty ... instead of lines! Like if I draw the gestures, imagining that I'm forming it with putty,instead of drawing the lines outside, it seems to work better. I'm still using lines. Just ... I'm not focusing on the lines so much, more as a means to an end ... and I'm a lot happier with this batch than the previous one. Then with each subsequent 'go over' ... I try to form it to be more and more solid.
