It's so difficult to take photos of fish. They never sit still! And it's hard without using the flash, but it was a lovely sunny day today, and I managed to get these shots (out of a hundred or so other shots >_< )

But this post is going to be all about my fish, Goby (the one with the yellow tail), and Endling (the other one).
Goby's my favorite fish. I got him from a friend in Ipoh, who stole his parents from a Chinese restaurant. (I assume the guppies were in a fish tank, and she must have brought them back in a cup or something). She kept them all in a bowl in her house, and they had kids, and I fell in love with Goby, because he was the biggest of all the fry, but still pretty tiny nonetheless (about 1cm). I brought him back in a jar to JB (3 hour drive back home), along with about 7 or so other fry, who have all now died. I think they didn't take to the water changes very well, either that, or Goby bullied them, because he was the biggest. Anyhow, he is still my favorite. I love his tattoos down the side, I think they are very unique, and his tail is my favorite colors. I had gotten him while he was still all grey, and it was a nice surprise to find out that he was actually quite a colorful fish.

The second fish, Endling, I bought from a petshop, just so that Goby would have some company. I had thought that he was a rare '
Endler' fish when I first got him, but I was disappointed when I got home, and found out on the internet, that he was just a common guppy. However, due to his unique tail shape, and coloring, I think he might actually be a guppy-endler hybrid, but WHO KNOWS. I think it's strange to have a guppy with a triple-sword tail (maybe four), you usually get double or single-sword. I decided to call him '`
Endling' after one of my favorite artists here on DA, and also because he is a pseudo-endler.
Anyhow, these are the photos I managed to take of them when they are still, and sort of resting. But when they are fighting, the black marks on the side of their bodies become VERY black. They kind of lose their color a bit while they are resting. Goby's got a black dot at his belly, and Endling has got a black line on his side.
They spend most of their time fighting, spinning round each other in circles, or trying to hump each other. They tend to follow my finger up and down, when I wave it about, outside the tank. They go crazy whenever they see me pick up the bottle of fish food, and even crazier when I open the tank lid. Goby sometimes follows, when I roll a little pink ball on my desk. I'm pretty certain that they are aware of everything around them, outside the tank. When I go to sleep at night, they sometimes crowd around to the side of the tank where I'm at.
I enjoy their company, and they give me something nice to look at when I get bored.
Luf my fishies.

About the tank
My current setup, is a tank-within-a-tank, that I call, the 'Metatank'. My fish like to sleep in the little tank (one at a time). But of course, they are free to come and go as they please XD
Wish I could draw as good...
